Get answers to common questions about Henna Treatment.

Henna deposits pigment by binding to the hair cuticle and is long-lasting, gradually fading over weeks to months. It’s generally considered semi-permanent; results depend on hair porosity, prior chemical treatments and maintenance routine.

Henna can react unpredictably with certain chemical dyes or lightening agents. We recommend a consultation and strand test to assess compatibility. In some cases, waiting or choosing a specific application method will ensure safe, desired results.

A full Henna Treatment appointment usually takes 1.5 to 3 hours depending on hair length, thickness and desired processing time. This includes consultation, application, processing, rinse and styling for a polished finish.

Henna can cover gray hairs, but coverage depends on hair coarseness and how long the henna processes. Multiple applications or longer processing may be needed for full coverage. A strand test helps set expectations and timing.

Color longevity varies; pigment can last several weeks to months and fades gradually. Conditioning effects are noticeable immediately and build with repeated treatments. Maintenance every 6–8 weeks helps preserve tone, shine and conditioning benefits.

Combining henna with chemical services requires caution. Henna may interfere with perms, relaxers or permanent color. We advise consulting your stylist, performing strand tests and often scheduling chemical processes before or after henna as recommended.
