Get answers to common questions about Brazilian Wax.
Avoid shaving for 2–3 weeks so hair reaches optimal length (about ¼ inch). Exfoliate gently the day before, avoid tanning and heavy caffeine, and arrive clean. Inform your esthetician about medications or skin sensitivities so we can customize care.
Some discomfort is normal, but pain varies by individual and hair growth. Our experienced estheticians use gentle techniques and wax designed for sensitive skin to minimize pain. We also offer tips to reduce discomfort and can discuss topical numbing options if needed.
Results typically last three to six weeks depending on your hair growth cycle and personal biology. With regular waxing, regrowth tends to be finer and sparser. Timing varies—schedule maintenance appointments to keep results consistent.
Mild redness and sensitivity are common and usually subside within 24–48 hours. Rarely, folliculitis or irritation can occur. We follow strict hygiene and screen for contraindications like sunburn, recent chemical peels, or certain medications. Contact us if you notice persistent swelling or infection.
Waxing is generally safe during pregnancy, though many clients prefer after the first trimester; positioning and comfort are prioritized. During menstruation waxing is possible but sensitivity may increase—feel free to schedule another day or bring protection. Consult us about any medical concerns.
Avoid hot baths, saunas, swimming, heavy exercise, and tight clothing for 24–48 hours. Apply calming, fragrance-free soothing products we provide and exfoliate gently after 48–72 hours to prevent ingrown hairs. If you experience severe irritation or signs of infection, contact us immediately.
